Sculptured Wall Plaques

A range of fourteen stylized wall plaques cast in aluminium. These sculptured wall plaques are handmade in raised relief and designed for outside or hanging inside the home. There are ten circular stylized creatures from our popular owls and cat plaques to the sculptured horses, rooster, rams and the three little pigs etc. With four rectangular sculptured plaques based on the seasons of the year, tulips for spring, roses for summer, oakleaves for autumn and holly for winter.

All our sculptured plaques are sculptured by hand in raised releif. This rooster has a depth of approx 50mm from the surface of the wall with the gold decoration bringing out the rich detail.

The plaques are moulded by hand in foundry sand to produce a negative mould, when ready the molten aluminum at approx 750 C can then be gently poured into the mould. When the metal has solidified the sand mould is broken apart to release the casting showing the high quality sculptured curved surface.

The plaque is then fettled, a process of grinding, filing, sanding and working the surface in preparation for painting. You have a choice of six standard background colours and three decoration/border colours, with a further five optional extra lighter shade background colours.

We can also finish these plaques in your specific colour as an optional extra, just let us know what colour reference number you want.

All our plaques are pre-drilled with fixing holes and supplied with stainless steel screws, wall plugs and vial of matching paint for screw heads.
